Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an annual event at the Magic Kingdom during the Holiday Season. It is a separately ticketed event, meaning only those that have purchased a ticket to the party will be allowed into the park from 7:00 pm until 12:00 am (midnight). You may enter the park at 4:00 pm on the evening that you are planning on attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which I would recommend in order to dodge the crowds that will be waiting in line to get into the event later that evening. Plus by getting to the park three hours before the event starts, you will be able to get something to get at one of the amazing restaurants inside the Magic Kingdom. (For a list of what restaurants are available with Disney’s Dining Plans, CLICK HERE.) Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party festivities start when the “snow” starts to fall on Main Street U.S.A.!
While attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party you will get to enjoy things like: Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Firework Shows, Stage Shows at Cinderella Castle and Character Dance Parties!
There are so many things to see and do in the five hours that the party goes on. I would highly recommend that you have a plan of action for you and your family before you go so that you can make sure that you don’t miss out on your must see and do activities.
Make sure to allow for extra time to get your perfect viewing spot for “A Frozen Holiday Wish”, Celebrate the Season, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Celebrate the Magic and Holiday Wishes! These events take place at Cinderella Castle, so make sure to stake out a spot early in the Hub or along Main Street.
– Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade –
What is a Christmas party with Santa Claus? See Mickey along with plenty of your favorites parade through the Magic Kingdom on their Christmas themed floats and costumes! The parade ends with dancing reindeer and Santa Claus upon his sleigh! The parade starts in Frontierland and goes through Liberty Square and over the bridge where it circles around Central Plaza in front of Cinderella Castle, then it heads down Main Street where it circles Town Square and ends next to Harmony Barbour Shop. You can catch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade twice every evening during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. My advice would be to plan on catching the first run of this parade at a spot where you can also see the Castle Stage Show, Celebrate the Season as well as the Firework Shows that are soon to follow the parade. – Holiday Wishes! Celebrate the Spirit of the Seasons –
Just like the regular firework show Wishes! that is performed every night at the Magic Kingdom, Holiday Wishes! is narrated by Jiminy Cricket and features some traditional Christmas songs as well as original songs that go along with an amazing firework show! This is a definite must see if you are going to be attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a ticketed event just like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Being that it is a ticketed event means that only those that have purchased a ticket to the event will be allowed into the Magic Kingdom during the time and day that the event takes place. It may seem that it is very crowded at times because many of the guests attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be concentrated around the parades, fireworks and stage shows. You will just have to plan ahead and check out the Times Guide to make your experience the best that it can be.
