Nestled on 750 acres of pine and cypress forest, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground evokes the timeless beauty of the American frontier. Teeming with such wildlife as deer, ducks, armadillos and rabbits, the Resort welcomes you to delight in scenic woodland trails, a white-sand beach, exciting pool areas, rootin’ tootin’ entertainment and hearty country eats.

– The Cabins –

Excellent for large parties, Wilderness Cabins feature such amenities as a living room, full bathroom, private patio, charcoal grill and fully equipped kitchen. The Cabins are spacious enough to comfortably sleep 6 adults, and Housekeeping even does your dishes! Pick up groceries and supplies from the Trading Posts, and rent a golf cart or bike to zip around the Resort with ease.

– Pool with a Water Slide –

Barrels of water-filled fun, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool features a corkscrew waterslide, whirlpool spa and kiddie pool. Young cowpokes can even cool off in the fort-themed water play area with tot-friendly slides. You can also take a dip at Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, the all-ages quiet pool with a whirlpool spa.

– Dining Options –

Trail’s End & Trail’s End To-Go – Mosey over to Trail’s End Restaurant for “Frontier Fixin’s & Friendly Folk” . Located at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, this casual restaurant features American and Southern cuisines, from fried chicken to pan fried catfish. This dining location is included in the dining plan.

– Dinner Shows –

Hoop-Dee-Doo Music Revue –  A hilarious, high-spirited hootenanny the whole family will enjoy, accompanied by a finger-lickin’ countrified feast. Join the Pioneer Hall Players for 2 hours of rousing Wild West dancing, singing and zany vaudeville comedy. You never know what to expect when Claire de Lune, Johnny Ringo, Dolly Drew, Six Bits Slocum, Flora Long and Jim Handy hit the stage. But you do know that it’s not going to be dull! Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, sing along and have a good ol’ time at rustic Pioneer Hall in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. In between skits and song standards, chow down on buckets of all-you-care-to-enjoy fried chicken and smoked BBQ pork ribs, as well as a tossed green salad, baked beans, fresh-baked cornbread and strawberry shortcake. Unlimited draft beer, wine and sangria are included for Guests 21 years of age and up (proper ID required). Soft drinks are also included.

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ – Dance with Mickey, Minnie and Friends at this finger-licking, foot-stomping barbeque buffet. Scoot on down to this covered, open-air pavilion for a music-filled hoedown with some favorite Disney Characters. Feast on an all-you-care-to-enjoy BBQ spread to cowboy rope tricks and the rootin’ tootin’ tunes of a live country-western band. Then mosey on over to the dance floor for line dancing led by Disney Friends! Several times throughout the night, Disney Characters mingle with Guests for photos and autographs. Cowpokes may meet: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy & Chip-n-Dale. Character appearances and entertainment are subject to change.

– Additional Recreation –

Fort Wilderness Archery Experience – Guests 7 years of age and up can learn how to hold and fire a compound bow in this 90-minute archery program. 

Tri-Circle D-Ranch – Mosey on over for trail, pony, wagon and carriage rides amid the rustic beauty of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Stroll through the stables to see Cinderella’s Ponies and the majestic horses of Main Street, U.S.A.. You can watch the blacksmith make horseshoes and affix them to horses’ hooves. You can also enjoy Pony Rides, Horseback Trail Rides, Wagon Rides and Carriage Rides. Chip-n-Dales’ Campfire Sing-A-Long – Join nutty friends Chip ‘n’ Dale for some old-fashioned family fun as you roast marshmallows around a crackling fire.

Movies Under the Stars – Cozy up for complimentary screenings of popular Disney films at the outdoor theater of Meadow Recreation Area.

Motorized Boat Rentals – Cruise around Bay Lake aboard a motorized boat, available from the Fort Wilderness Marina.

Canoe Rentals – Paddle down the inlets of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Kayak Rentals – Glide along the serene waterways of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Waterskiing – Turn heads as you water-ski Bay Lake with the pros from Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre.

Fishing – Reel in the fun with guided excursions or fish the old-fashioned way with dockside fishing!

Bike Rentals – Ride through pine forests and meadows teeming with wildlife. Rentals are available from the Bike Barn.

Basketball Courts – Shoot some hoops at one of several basketball courts located throughout Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Basketballs are available in a designated box at each court. If the box is empty, simply call Housekeeping from a Comfort Station phone and a basketball will be delivered to the court.

Volleyball – Enjoy a friendly volleyball match on the sand court in the Meadow Recreation Area.

Jogging Trails – Jog through lush meadows and pine and cypress groves.

Playgrounds – Kids can climb, slide and swing to their hearts’ content at playgrounds located throughout Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, including ones at Clementine’s Beach and the Meadow Recreation Area.

Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade – Delight in games both classic and contemporary at this arcade near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool.

Davy Crockett’s Wilderness Arcade – Head on down to Pioneer Hall for a variety of video and pinball games.
