Spot wild Animals roaming the savanna as you feast on savory home-style cooking infused with flavors of Africa and India at Sanaa. Among the creatures you may catch a glimpse of: gazelles, giraffes, zebra, marabou storks and more! Even if you don’t score a window coveted table, there’s still plenty to look at: amazing artwork and colors textures inspired by nature surround you, from tribal-patterned chairs to hanging pod lanterns.

The Mara – Discover delicious eats on a trek through The Mara, a quick service eatery inside Jamba House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. Wildlife murals, animal footprints and a spacious dining floor with a jungle canopy make mealtimes adventure time! Named for a river flowing through Kenya and Tanzania, this savanna-like space serves African stew, pitas, half-chicken dinners and more. American favorites like burgers and flatbreads are also available, as is breakfast until 11:00 AM.

Jiko – Wine Tasting – Every Wednesday, you’re invited to sample the unique flavors from a trio of wines, specially chosen by sommeliers at Jiko – The Cooking Place. Come bask in the aromatic notes of each featured tasting, as paired with a savory selection of cheeses designed to complement the African terroir. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy alcoholic beverages.

– Exotic Animals –

Discover over 30 species of African wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, gazelles, kudu and flamingos. Identify each species with a Wildlife Field Guide (found in your Guest Room, with extras available from the Lobby Concierge), and learn more about African animals and ecosystems during fun programs led by Animal Specialists. Guests of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas can also enjoy the Wanyama Safari and Dinner for up-close animal encounters followed by a delectable, multi-course feast.

– Themed Pools –

Cool off amid African-inspired architecture and a wildlife preserve at the Uzima Pool and the Samawati Springs Pool. Hours and lifeguard availability vary by pool and are subject to change.

Go for a dip in the enchanting Uzima Pool, an 11,000-square-foot tropical oasis facing Uzima Savanna. Surrounded by large canopy trees and Floridian palms, the pool features a gently sloping, zero-depth entry point similar to that of a natural beach, along with a 67-foot-long waterslide. Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks.

Make a splash at the Samawati Springs Pool—located just a short walk away at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani! Featuring an exciting 128-foot waterslide and zero-depth-entry, this 4,700-square-foot pool is the perfect place to cool off and have fun. Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks.

The pool area also includes Uwanja Camp, a water playground with 3 distinct zones to please kids of all ages. At Observation Station, children 4 years of age and younger can climb through cargo crates, unscramble animal images and frolic through a gently bubbling geyser and shallow cistern pool—while their parents watch from nearby. At Departure Zone, a leaky water tower and sneaky African irises squirt children 5 to 7 years of age, while at Base Camp, kids 8 years of age and up can douse each other with water cannons.

– Additional Recreation –

Simba’s Clubhouse – Supervised Children’s Activity Center. Kids 3 to 12 years of age will be kept busy and entertained. In a fun, secure environment staffed by caring Disney Cast Members, your little ones can get into Sony PlayStation™ video games, play with toys, make arts and crafts—and even make new friends! With dinner, Disney movies, snacks, nightly themed activities and cool keepsakes, it’s an evening they’re sure to rave about for days to come. Children must be potty-trained. No pull-ups are allowed. Reservations are recommended but not required. An hourly rate is charged per child, and a 2-hour minimum applies. Same-day walk-ins are also welcome based on availability. To make a reservation, please call (407) WDW-DINE, or (407) 939-3463. Simba’s Clubhouse is located on the first floor of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge; follow the Zebra Trail just off the Uzima Pool deck area. Simba’s Clubhouse is open daily from 4:30 PM to midnight.

Jambo House Campfire Activities – Gather ‘round as the sun goes down for old-fashioned family fun as you roast marshmallows by a crackling fire. Cozy up for complimentary outdoor screenings of popular Disney films immediately following your campfire.

Hakuna Matata Playground – Kids can monkey around at this 24-hour playground overlooking the flamingo area and savanna.

Jogging Trails – Jog around Uzima Pool or on the walking path that connects Jambo House to Kidani Village.

Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade – Conquer classic arcade games and popular video games at this arcade near The Mara café.
