February 2017 Walt Disney World Vacation!

Here’s a little tip out there for the ones that live in the following three states; Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama! If you live in one of these three states chances are you have some off days for Mardi Gras! Some of you may use these days to in fact celebrate Mardi Gras but some of you may just use them as a day off. If you have kids chances are they have those days off from school if not that whole week! Has the thought of taking a vacation during these holidays ever crossed your mind? Well let me let you in on a little secret!

THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY HAS SOME OF THE LOWEST CROWD LEVELS AT WALT DISNEY WORLD!

AND to make things even better, during the month of February you’ll find some of the lowest room rates and ticket prices as well!

The dates for Mardi Gras 2017 are Monday February 27th and Tuesday February 28th!

Why is February one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World? Well, for one all of the schools in the States are back in session so not that many families are going on vacation during this time of the year. They will have either gone during Thanksgiving or Christmas or are planning to go during Spring Break or the Summer. The second thing that makes February a great time to visit Disney World is the ticket prices and room rates. February is considered Value season, meaning because there are less families visiting the parks the ticket prices and room rates go down!

The only con for visiting Disney during February is that Disney uses this down time to update their more popular rides and water parks. Which means you may not be able to ride some of the rides that you had wanted to. For the most up to date information on attraction refurbishments, click here!

If you think that you might be interested in planning a trip during the Mardi Gras holidays or the month of February then NOW is the TIME! August is the 180th day mark! Meaning that during the month of August advanced dining reservations opens up to those that have vacations booked during the month of February! Planning Your October 2016 Disney Vacation

Here are some helpful tips and information for vacationers that are looking into visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the month of October!

The top three questions that everyone always asks is; how’s the weather, is it crowded and how much will it cost me? Well keep reading because I’m about to tell you!

During the month of October you can expect a moderate to heavy crowd level. I only say this because it is way into the Halloween Spirit at the Disney Parks and everyone is there trying to make the best of it.  You can expect the Haunted Mansion and other such rides to be a long wait during this time of year.I would  still suggest staying at a resort with a nice pool to take advantage of during the middle of the day when it is the hottest! It will not start to cool down in central Florida until November and even then it’s still hot!

EVENTS HAPPENING IN OCTOBER!

October continues starts the fall season at Disney World. During this month you will see the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations going up around the parks. The Magic Kingdom will hosting Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties to select guests! They are known to be a lot of fun plus you get a lot of candy! You also get to dress up as your favorite character! To find out more about Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party, click here!

DINING AND FASTPASS+ RESERVATIONS!

If you are planing on getting your first choice for advanced dining reservations you will need to book your reservations by April, which will be your 180 day mark. Also, if you are staying on property you can reserve your FastPass+ 60 days before your arrival date. Your 60-Days out date will be in August! For more information on FastPass+ and how all of that works, Click Here! For more information on Disney’s Dining Plans, Click Here!

The first family on our list is visiting the Walt Disney Resort during the dates of 10/13 – 10/17. They are a family of five staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. They have selected to opt out of the Park Hopper and Dining Plan. Their vacation total is $2,935.99.

The second family on our list will be visiting during Halloween! There are a couple staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports and are not getting a Dining Plan or Park Hopper but they will be attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! They also qualify for the Last Summer Family Offer which gives them a discount on their room rate. Their vacation total will be $2,846.16.

The last family on our list will be spending a full week in Walt Disney World and they will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. They have also chosen to go with the Disney Dining Plan. Their vacation total is $5,584.76.

Planning your September 2016 Walt Disney World Vacation!

HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS AND INFORMATION FOR VACATIONERS THAT ARE LOOKING INTO VISITING THE WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER!

The top three questions that everyone always asks is; how’s the weather, is it crowded and how much will it cost me? Well keep reading because I’m about to tell you!

During the month of September you can expect a very low crowd level! Yup that’s right! September is known to be one of the slowest months of year for the simple fact that the all of the kids are now back in school. September also has the cheaper ticket prices and room rates. I would  still suggest staying at a resort with a nice pool to take advantage of during the middle of the day when it is the hottest! It will not start to cool down in central Florida until November and even then it’s still hot!

Events Happening in September!

September starts the fall season at Disney World. During this month you will start to see the Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations going up around the parks. Towards the end of the month the Magic Kingdom will start having the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties! They are known to be a lot of fun plus you get a lot of candy! You also get to dress up as your favorite character! To find out more about Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party, click here!

If you are a Christian Music fan, every year Disney hosts the Night of Joy during the month of September. This year for the first time ever the concert series will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. This year the concert will be held on September 9th & 10th. To find out more information about Night of Joy, click here.

Ride & Attraction Refurbishments, Closings and Openings!

Besides the major construction that will be going on at Hollywood Studios, there are not any scheduled refurbishments at this time. Hopefully (crossing my fingers) by this time Soarin’ and the new Frozen ride at EPCOT will be open and guests will be able to enjoy these new attractions! For the up-to-date refurbishment schedule, click here.

Dining and FastPass+ Reservations!

If you are planing on getting your first choice for advanced dining reservations you will need to book your reservations by March, which will be your 180 day mark. Also, if you are staying on property you can reserve your FastPass+ 60 days before your arrival date. Your 60-Days out date will be in July! For more information on FastPass+ and how all of that works, Click Here! For more information on Disney’s Dining Plans, Click Here!

Promotions and Offers!

The Promotions and Offers for the Fall will not be out until late Spring. Think April or May! Last year Disney offered the FREE Dining Plan for a minimum stay at select Disney Resorts. EVERYONE is hoping they will do something like this again, including me! So make sure to come back around April or May when I update this post with the Promotions and Offers for Fall! You can also click here and check out all of the available Promotions and Offers that become available throughout the year!

Let’s Do the Math!

Want to get an idea of how much your vacation would cost for you to visit the Walt Disney World Resort during the month of September? Take a look at the following scenarios!

The first family on our list is visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during Memorial Day Weekend. They will be staying 6-Days and 5-Nights at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. They have chosen to upgrade their ticket with the Park Hopper option but are still on the fence about the Dining Plan. Their vacation total without the Dining Plan is $2,364.62. With the Dining Plan their vacation total would be $3,230.12.

The second family on our list is spending a week at the Walt Disney World Resort and they are bringing along with them Mom, Dad, the grandparents and two kids! They will be staying at Disney’s Art of Animation in a Cars Family Suite! They have chosen to go with the Base Ticket option and not get a Dining Plan at this time. Their vacation total is $4,147.76.

The last family on our list will be taking a quick trip to Disney World. They will be staying 5-Nights and 4-Days at the Wilderness Lodge in a bunk-bed room! They are upgrading their tickets to a Park Hopper and are getting the Dining Plan. Their vacation total is $4,355.42.

I hope the information that I have provided will help those out that are looking to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in July 2016. If you have any additional questions that were not answered in this post, please ask away!
