Parades, Shows & Fireworks!


Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party! This Parade starts in Town Square, up Main Street, circles around the Hub in front of Cinderella’s Castle and then head back down Main Street where it ends in Town Square. When the floats are in front of the castle the Characters, that are featured in this parade, pop out of the gift boxes on each of the floats. Some of the move-it-shake-it-dance-play-it-00characters and dancers then get off the floats and take to the streets and party, this usually takes around 10-15min. Once they all board their floats again the parade heads back down Main Street. Some of the featured characters are: Mickey, Minnie, Chip-n-Dale, Baloo, King Louie, Mad Hatter, Genie, Frozone, Mr. Incredible, Donald, Goofy, Sebastian, Woody, Jessie and Lumiere. Sometimes the characters stay the same and sometimes there may be some new faces! You can catch this parade daily, weather permitting, at 12:30pm and 5:40pm. The best place to view this parade is pretty much anywhere on the parade route, but if you want good pictures or dance with the characters you might want to get there a few minutes early. 

Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. This parade starts in Adventureland, through Liberty Square, around the Hub, down Main Street and ends in Town Square. Paying homage to the unbridled magic and vivid pageantry of Fantasyland and its many inhabitants, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is a thrilling sight-and-sound spectacular that winds its way through the streets of Magic Kingdom park each afternoon. Be a part of this grand gala, which includes spectacular, state-of-the-art floats starring Characters from some of your favorite Disney stories, plus colorfully costumed performers on stilts, pendulums and swings. The featured characters are: Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, Elsa, Anna, Flynn Rider, Rapunzel, Ariel, Sebastian, Perter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Tick-Tock the Crocodile, Merida, Maleficent in her fire breathing dragon form, Prince Phillip, Mickey, Minnie, Pinocchio and Snow White. This is a very popular parade so be sure to arrive to your viewing spot 30-45min before the parade starts. FastPass+ viewing is available in Town Square around the flag pole on the far end of Main Street, nearest the train station and park entrance. If you can’t get a FastPass+, the best viewing area is on the front porch of Tony’s Restaurant or up on the balcony of the Wald Disney World Rail Road’s Train Station overlooking Town Square.

Main Street Electrical Parade. This parade starts in Fronteirland, through Liberty Square, around the Hub viewing area, down Main Street and circles around Town Square where it ends. Delight in this nighttime parade of glowing, spinning, gliding floats filled with beloved Disney characters and dancers. Fun-loving and feisty, Tinker Bell orchestrates the magic, lighting the way with a wave of her wand. Half a million shimmering lights are carefully synchronized to a memorable soundtrack to create this moving musical spectacle which lasts over 20 electrifying minutes. The featured characters are: Tinker Bell, Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, Alice, Suzy, Perla, Jaq, Gus, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Anastasia, Drisella, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Pete & his Dragon and an American tribute float. This parade is truly a Disney classic and a must do, so you gotta know that it’s gonna get crowded in of the good viewing spots. Magic Kingdom Welcome Show. Join the opening ceremonies each morning with Mickey and the gang as they welcome you to the most magical place on earth! This show takes place Magic Kingdom Welcome Showapproximately 12mins before rope drop, but that means that you need to get there at least 20min before park open to get a good viewing spot for the show. The Welcome Show takes place on the Train Station platform. The featured characters are: Magic Kingdom citizens, Mickey, Pluto, Donal, Daisy, Chip-n-Dale, Tiana with a few other princesses. The characters may change for different days but you can always count on Mickey to be there to count down from 10 to open the park. Be sure to check and see if the Magic Kingdom is going to have early extra magic hours on the day that you are planning to go because this show’s start time depends on what time the park actually opens.

Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial. Jack Sparrow and pal Mac pick 4 volunteers from the crowd to join his crew. They teach their volunteers how to “distract and flee” to defeat or rather retreat from your enemies. Once you learn the trade they will ask you to join their crew and take the pirate’s oath. This show takes place new the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride. Show times are from park open to park close.

Incredible’s Super Dance Party. Head over to Tomorrowland in the evenings after 5PM where a D.J. puts together a mix of songs for Mr. & Mrs. Incredible and Frozone. Don’t by shy to join the party, let loose and dance with the Incredibles!

Dream Along with Mickey. This show revolves around convincing Donald to believe in dreams.Screen-Shot-2015-04-06-at-11.00.43-PM Mickey enlists the help of other Disney characters that have had their dreams come true, only to be interrupted by Maleficent who agrees with Donald that dreams don’t come true. Watch this show to see if Donald will start believing in dreams and save the day! Show times occur several times a day on the Center Stage in front of Cinderella’s Castle. The featured characters are: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and many others.

The Dapper Dans. They are the first barbershop quartet in a 2-block radius wearing their colorful pinstriped suits. This four man groups is sure to entertain you while they sing soulful capella Americana and Disney tunes such as: Cruella de Vil, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Somebody Stole My Gal, Mr. Sandman, If You’re Happy and You Know It, Zip-a-Dee Doo Dah. They also will carry Deagon Organ Chimes and play and sing along with those as well. You can see the Dapper Dans on Main Street.


Casey’s Corner Pianist. This pianist is extremely talented. He plays all sorts of tunes, from Disney songs to ragtime. Don’t be shy, go up and request a song for him to play. You can catch one of his performances outside Casey’s Corner at the end of Main Street.

Main Street Philharmonic at Main Street, U.S.A. This is Main Street U.S.A.’s very own brass marching band. They play up and down Main Street, Town Square and they may occasionally play in other areas of the park.

The Notorious Banjo Brothers & Bob. This trio comedy act is made up of two banjos and a tuba. They play daily out in Frontierland.

The Royal Majesty Makers. Join the Royal Majesty Makers, Sir Sterling and royal etiquette expert Lady Llewellyn, for “lessons” in horse riding, swordsmanship, proper etiquette and more. Mount your very own virtual horse ans slay invisible dragons! Join hands with Lady Llewellyn to dance a very merry medieval dance. Perform well and you just might be invited to the royal ball!

Electrical Water Pageant. Charming sea creatures both mythical and natural light up the Seven Seas lagoon and Bay Lake, with a bright green sea monster leading the way! Delight to a varietyWaterParade of Disney tunes. As this nighttime parade on water progresses, the sea creatures are joined by flashing American flags with twinkling stars! A medley of inspiring patriotic songs plays along as the stars and stripes float on the shimmering lagoon surface. The best place to view is unfortunately outside of the Magic Kingdom Park. You can catch this parade as you are leaving or at the Deluxe Resorts, Disney’s Polynesian, Disney’s Grand Floridian, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary.


Celebrate the Magic. Witness a spellbinding show that traces the longstanding legacy of Disney storytelling and imagination. When Tinker Bell splashes pixie dust atop Cinderella’s Castle, it is magically refashioned into an enchanted canvas showing the spectacular Disney imagery. Travel down the rabbit hole with Alice, soar high above the Big Top with Dumbo, and wander the African savanna with Simba. Drawing inspiration from Disney’s many memorable characters and stories, Celebrate the Magic invites you to take off on a breathtaking visual and musical journey, and to experience Disney movies—from beloved classics to contemporary favorites—in an entirely new and unforgettable way. In addition to the regular program, Celebrate the Magic will also include unique seasonal updates throughout the year. Look for the arrival of beloved Disney couples in January, Lilo and Stitch and The Little Mermaid in the summer, and a special appearance by the Disney villains leading up to Halloween. Show times are 9:45pm and 10:35pm.


Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. Join Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy as they celebrate the power of believing. Your heart will soar as you hear a medley of famous Disney songs and the voices of Disney characters in the biggest fireworks extravaganza in Magic Kingdom park history! But trouble is brewing when Maleficent, the Evil Queen and other Disney villains drop in. Will Good triumph over Evil? Do wishes really come true? It’s a spectacular story, so big only the sky can hold it! Don’t miss Tinker Bell when she takes flight over the park during the show! Stand somewhere in the Cinderella Castle forecourt or on the surrounding bridges for the best view.
