AK Parades, Shows & Fireworks!

– Parades –

Currently, there are not any daytime or nighttime parades at Animal Kingdom.

– Stage Shows –

Finding Nemo – The Musical. Based on the hit animated movie, this must see adventure features original music and amazing theatrical puppetry. Some of the puppets are as big as a car and have to be operated by two people! You can find this show in Dinoland U.S.A. Arrive 20-30 minutes before showtime to get a good seat.

Flights of Wonder. Don’t expect to see parrots riding bicycles or any tricks trained by humans at this show. Here you will be introduced to a bird trainer that will entertain and educate you by simply showing you how fascinating the natural behavior of at least 20 different species of birds really is. Some of the birds may show their skills on stage while others will fly over the audience to show off their impressive wing span. This Stadium is not indoors so there is no air conditioning, but it is covered. Try and attend the early morning or late evening shows during the summer months. You can see this show in the Asia section of the park.

Festival of the Lion King. Join the occupants of the Pride Lands for a grad celebration of The Lion King with songs from the film. Guests are seated in four sets of bleachers surrounding the stage. Each section of the bleachers represents an animal (elephant, warthog, giraffe and lion) which they are called upon during the show to make the sounds of that particular animal that their sections represents. During the show you get to sing along with to the songs you and love from the movie as well as enjoy such acts as: acrobats, jugglers, singers and dancers. This show is very popular so if you can’t get a FastPass+, make sure to attend the first show or arrive at least 30-45 minutes before showtime. After the FastPass+ guests are seated, seating is first come first serve so make try and sit in the top rows of the bleachers for the best viewing. You can see this show in the Africa section of the park.

– Streetmosphere & Live Entertainment –

Viva Gaia Street Band. Enjoy this multi-cultural troupe leading a Caribbean street party on Discovery Island. It’s a fiery mix of melody and masquerade complete with colorful costumes, rhythm and dance!

Chakranadi. Is a musical duo consisting of an expert sitar player and tabla drummer. They play on a stage near the Mandala gifts in Aisa. Check the Times Guide to see when they will be playing.

DJ Anaan. Learn fun Indian based dance moves to the music of Bhangra, a fusion of Punjabi and western pop. You can dance to DJ Anaan’s beats in the Asia section of the park. Check the Times Guide to see when he will be playing.

Burudika. This African band is composed of Harambe’s finest musicians that fill the market place with lively rhythms of Afro-pop. “Burudika” is Swahili for “to be refreshed”. So why not join a street party and refresh?

Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe. Dance to the beat of the African drums wit this interactive musical act. Don’t be afraid to let loose and make a fool of yourself!

Gi-Tar Dan. Gi-Tar Dan is a roaming guitar player at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. He is a storyteller known for creating songs about the people he meets. Stick around to watch his show for a while and he just might make a song about you!

– Fireworks & Nighttime Spectaculars –

Rivers of Light. This is a nighttime experience that is coming to Animal Kingdom in 2016. The show will feature “live music”, floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery. Rivers of Light will become Animal Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular! The show most likely will not have any fireworks because they will disturb the animals that live in the park.
