HS Tips From a Disney Veteran

You have two choices; get a FastPass+ for the big rides (Tower of Terror, Rock’n’Roller Coaster or Toy Story Mania) or plan to ride them first. There is a lot of construction going on at this park so the lines for these rides tend to get very long.

In the midday heat, try and make plans to ride the indoor rides such as: The Great Movie Ride, Muppet Vision 3D or Star Tours. You could also go and see some of the shows or hang out in the shops around the park.

Hollywood Blvd. & Sunset Blvd.

Always interact with the Citizens of Hollywood! Their shows are performed throughout Hollywood and Sunset Blvd. Their shows only get better when they have crowd participation with the audience, so don’t just rush on by to your next attraction on the list. Stop and laugh a little bit with the Citizens of Hollywood!

Each limo in the Rock’n’Roller Coaster plays a different Aerosmith track. Which one is your favorite?

Animation Courtyard

Outside The Great Movie Ride there is a few hand prints of some famous people, made to replicate the Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars in California but with a Disney twist.

Echo Lake

Young wannabe Jedi’s can try their skills out at the Jedi Academy. They even get a chance to face Darth Vader himself! Even if you don’t have a young one participating in the Academy, it is definitely something to stop and watch if you are a Star Wars fan.

When walking through the Star Tours queue, listen for the robot paging “Egroeg Sacul”. If you spell it backwards its says, George Lucas.

Streets of America

In the Streets of America San Francisco side, you can pose like you are Gene Kelly and have your picture taken like you are singing “Singin’ in the Rain”.

Next to the pole underneath the umbrella for the “Singin’ in the Rain” pose, if you step on the soft black rubber pad on the sidewalk you can actually make it rain for your picture!

Just like in Magic Kingdom, watch out for water spots on the ground! The fire hydrant near Muppet Vision 3D just might get you wet.

In the Muppet Vision 3D waiting area there is a sign saying, “Back in 5 minutes, key is under the mat”. Have you ever thought to check under the mat?
